Criteria for identifying weak and irregular students

A student will be enrolled in the Weak Student Improvement Program if they:

  • Scored less than 50% marks in consecutive three continuous assessment (Class Tests, Mid-term Examination, and Assignments) of any courses.
  • Have a GPA below 3.00 in previous semester.
  • Have a CGPA below 3.00.
  • Attendance below 60% in any courses.

Policies to enhance the performance of academically weak and irregular students

  1. Mandatory Counseling
  • Students must attend weekly counseling sessions with an assigned batch advisor.
  • The advisor will help students identify learning barriers and take necessary step to overcome those barriers according to the progress policy.
  • Intimating parents to ensure the consistent support system at home.
  • The batch advisor will engage collegiate students in group study sessions with weaker students.
  • The Head of Dept., batch advisor, and course teacher will arrange a meeting with weak students.
  1. Study Hours Requirement
  • Students must spend a minimum of 6 hours/week in the university library.
  • Study logs must be signed by a supervisor or recorded digitally.
  1. Supplemental Academic Support
  • Enrollment in tutorial classes or remedial sessions for difficult subjects is mandatory.
  • University Question Bank solving.
  • Assignment solving.
  • Provide handwritten notes for easy understanding.
  • Students must attend at least 90% of these sessions.
  1. Regular Performance Monitoring
  • Monthly performance reports will be reviewed by the batch advisor.
  • Students must meet progress benchmarks (e.g., quiz scores, attendance) to continue in the program.
  • Praise student efforts and improvements to boost self-esteem.
  1. Attendance Compliance: Existing university policy of attendance.
  2. Extracurricular activities: Encourage the student participation in sports, cultural program, meditation/gym, and debating for refreshment.
  3. Skill Development WorkshopsStudents are required to attend at least one workshop per semester on topics like time management, study techniques, exam preparation, etc.
