Director’s Message

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) was created in 2016 to provide quality education at the university level. IQAC was formed as a three-year project with funding from the World Bank’s Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). Every public and private university in Bangladesh has formed an IQAC to create a mechanism for systematic reviews of study programs and to ensure that quality outcome based education in teaching-learning, research, knowledge development, and support services requirements are met. BAUET is dedicated to excellence and innovation in learning, teaching, and research, and it is constantly working to improve its learning, teaching, and research.

The IQAC ensures that the institution’s quality management system is accountable and transparent to all stakeholders, including students, teachers, administrative staff, quality circle members, funding agencies, and society in general. The IQAC is in charge of ensuring that the university’s quality assurance policies and procedures are rigorous and effective in maintaining and monitoring the standards.

I am glad to announce that IQAC has been a permanent educational wing of BAUET since March 2018. It operates as a self-contained center dedicated to the university’s advancement. In this new chapter of IQAC’s history, I look forward to your valued support and cooperation. With your help and participation, IQAC at BAUET can become a leader in Bangladesh’s Higher Education at University level.

Additional Director’s Message

The practice of ensuring the quality of higher education is spreading over the world. Higher education must now be intimately linked to community needs as well as the needs of graduates in terms of career development and life-long learning. The mission of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) is to support and promote high-quality outcome based teaching, learning, and research that will have a direct impact on the graduates’ quality. Better graduates will result in a well-prepared work-force and more responsible global citizens. Since its foundation, IQAC of BAUET has worked to familiarize stakeholders with outcome based education and has adopted outcome based assessment & curriculum as the university’s basic practice. It will not only improve our graduates’ skill set, but it will also include broader problems such as open-mindedness, multiplicity, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

BAUET’s goal is to create an evidence-based decision making system that promotes and maintains a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. Finally, IQAC at BAUET aspires to help create an environment in which all stakeholders are recognized and respected equally. I’ve been a proud member of the IQAC since March 2021.

I am seeking your significant support and collaboration in this journey of IQAC, and I am confident that with your help, IQAC at BAUET can become a leader in Bangladesh’s Higher Education sector.
