Students examine how governor sleeve positions vary with speed and load, enhancing understanding of mechanical speed regulation and stability.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Free and Forced Vibration Apparatus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Allows analysis of single-degree-of-freedom systems under free and externally forced vibration. Students can study natural frequency, damping effect, and resonance phenomena. Essential for understanding vibration control in mechanical structures and machines.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Gyroscope Apparatus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Demonstrates the principles of gyroscopic couple and precessional motion. Helps students explore the dynamics of rotating bodies in aircraft, ships, and motorcycles. Useful for analyzing the stability and directional control of moving systems.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Static and Dynamic Balancing Apparatus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Used to investigate the balancing of rotating masses in static and dynamic conditions. Allows practical balancing of rotors and shafts to reduce vibration. Important for improving the performance and life of rotating machinery.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>Whirling of Shaft Apparatus<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Demonstrates the phenomenon of whirling (critical speed) in rotating shafts. Allows determination of natural frequency and observation of shaft deformation at various speeds.
