{"id":4823,"date":"2026-02-17T03:57:37","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T03:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bauet.ac.bd\/eee\/?page_id=4823"},"modified":"2026-02-17T05:14:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T05:14:54","slug":"weak-and-irregular-student-progress-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bauet.ac.bd\/eee\/student\/weak-and-irregular-student-progress-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Weak and Irregular Student Progress Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Criteria for identifying weak and irregular students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A student will be enrolled in the Weak Student Improvement Program if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scored less than 50% marks in consecutive <strong>three continuous assessment (Class Tests, Mid-term Examination, and Assignments)<\/strong> of any courses.<\/li>\n<li>Have a <strong>GPA below 3.00<\/strong> in previous semester.<\/li>\n<li>Have a <strong>CGPA below 3.00<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attendance<\/strong> below 60% in any courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Policies to enhance the performance of academically weak and irregular students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Mandatory Counseling<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Students must attend <strong>weekly counseling sessions<\/strong> with an assigned batch advisor.<\/li>\n<li>The advisor will help students <strong>identify learning barriers<\/strong> and take necessary step to overcome those barriers according to the progress policy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intimating parents <\/strong>to ensure the consistent support system at home.<\/li>\n<li>The batch advisor will engage collegiate students in <strong>group study sessions<\/strong> with weaker students.<\/li>\n<li>The Head of Dept., batch advisor, and course teacher will <strong>arrange a meeting<\/strong> with weak students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Study Hours Requirement<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Students must spend a minimum of <strong>6 hours\/week<\/strong> in the university library.<\/li>\n<li>Study logs must be signed by a supervisor or recorded digitally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Supplemental Academic Support<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Enrollment in <strong>tutorial classes or remedial sessions<\/strong> for difficult subjects is mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>University <strong>Question Bank<\/strong> solving.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assignment<\/strong> solving.<\/li>\n<li>Provide<strong> handwritten notes <\/strong>for easy understanding.<\/li>\n<li>Students must attend at least <strong>90% of these sessions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Regular Performance Monitoring<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Monthly <strong>performance reports<\/strong> will be reviewed by the batch advisor.<\/li>\n<li>Students must meet <strong>progress benchmarks<\/strong> (e.g., quiz scores, attendance) to continue in the program.<\/li>\n<li>Praise student <strong>efforts and improvements<\/strong> to boost self-esteem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong> Attendance Compliance: <\/strong>Existing university policy of attendance.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Extracurricular activities: <\/strong>Encourage the student participation in sports, cultural program, meditation\/gym, and debating for refreshment.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Skill Development Workshops<\/strong>Students are required to attend <strong>at least one workshop per semester<\/strong> on topics like time management, study techniques, exam preparation, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bauet.ac.bd\/eee\/student\/weak-and-irregular-student-progress-policy\/weak-student-progress-policy\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4831\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4831\" src=\"https:\/\/bauet.ac.bd\/eee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/02\/Weak-student-progress-policy-472x550.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"472\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Criteria for identifying weak and irregular students A student will be enrolled in the Weak Student Improvement Program if they: Scored less than 50% marks in consecutive three continuous assessment (Class Tests, Mid-term Examination, and Assignments) of any courses.
