Mahmudur Rahman joined BAUET in 2018 as an assistant professor specializing in environmental engineering in the civil engineering department. Just after the completion of his PhD in 2016, he started his career in academia as an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Stamford University Bangladesh, Dhaka. Later, he joined the Department of Civil Engineering at BAIUST with the position of Head of the Department. In addition to academia, he has experience working as Project Director at BAIUST on the BAIUST temporary and permanent campus construction project funded by BAIUST and as an Assistant Resident Engineer at the Department of Public Health Engineering . (DPHE) on the Secondary Towns Water Supply & Sanitation Sector (GoB-ADB) Project funded by ADB.
